What Sortly costs in year two
Sortly's headline prices are first-year prices. This page shows what their own published terms say the second year costs, and exactly where each number comes from. Prices read from sortly.com/pricing on 25 August 2026.
Their published prices
Every figure below is from Sortly's pricing page on the date above. The monthly price is shown there twice, the standard rate struck through and the discounted rate beside it.

The two sentences that decide year two
Both are on that same pricing page. Quoted exactly:
"50% discount applies only to first year of new customer subscriptions. After the first year, a 20% discount applies to all yearly plans."
"If you signed up with an introductory or promotional discount, your plan will renew at the standard rate once the promotional period ends."
Read together: the price you sign up at is the standard price with 50% off, and it lasts one year. From the second year the discount is 20%, applied to the standard rate.
The arithmetic
Standard monthly rate, twelve months, less the 20% yearly discount their first sentence names.

Year two is computed, not measured. It is the published standard rate times twelve times 0.8. Nobody here has seen a second-year Sortly invoice. If yours came out differently, write to [email protected] and this page gets corrected.
Two reports that land on the same numbers
These are other people's accounts, not our measurements, and they are worth what a public report is worth. A user on Reddit describes going from $377 to $1,428. Computed Ultra year two is about $1,430. A reviewer on Capterra describes $1,500 becoming $5,360 over two years.
Neither was hit by a policy change they could not have read. They were hit by an introductory discount ending, on terms published on the pricing page, and both experienced it as a surprise anyway. That is the whole point of this page: the terms are public, and almost nobody does this arithmetic before signing up.
What this does and does not say
It does not say Sortly raised its prices. It says something narrower and easier to check: the price you sign up at is not the price you keep, and there is no year at which it stops moving. If you are comparing tools on the headline number, compare the second year instead.
Worth saying plainly, because it cuts the other way too: Sortly offers a 14-day free trial and their pricing page states "A credit card is required to start a trial." So does ours. That is not a difference between us.
